Mary Aldena Collum

Mary Aldena “Dena” Collum, 96, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Hereford. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery, with Tommy Murry, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Dena was born May 29, 1917 in Whitt, Texas. She married Venus “V” Collum on March 1, 1935 in Panhandle. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Crusaders Sunday school class. Dena was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie Collum and Jackie Collum, and a granddaughter, Missy Collum. Survivors include two granddaughters, Stacey Weatherly and husband Dusty of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Shelley Jenkins and husband Ronnie of Hereford, a grandson, Todd Swank and wife Michelle of Littleton, Colorado, and twelve great-grandchildren.
