Vergie L. Cotton

Vergie L. Cotton, 81, died November 13, 2013 in Pampa. Memorial services will be announced at a later time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cotton was born June 2, 1932. She was reared and attended schools in Oklahoma. Vergie had been a resident of Pampa since 1969. She worked as a nurse at Highland General Hospital for many years. She was a Baptist. Vergie loved to sew and she will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family and friends. Vergie was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Billy Lambert. Survivors include two sons, Gary Cotton and wife Cora of Ozark, Missouri, and David Cotton and wife Angie of Pampa, their father, Don Cotton and wife Jean of Henryetta, Oklahoma, a brother, Lloyd Lambert of Oklahoma, three granddaughters, Kristi Whatley, Audry Cotton and Sydney Cotton, all of Pampa, and a grandson, Noah Cotton of Pampa.
