Elma A. Morris, 93, died November 17, 2013 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Interim Hospice Chaplain Jim Yates, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Morris was born on October19, 1920 in Kingston, New York. She was reared in Port Ewen, New York where she attended schools. Elma had been a resident of Pampa since 1949. She married J. C. Morris on August 10, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. She worked at Foodway and Furrs Grocery Store. Elma was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her cat “Pesky,” but most of all, she loved being with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Elma was preceded in death by her husband. The family would like to thank Interim Hospice nurses, Debbie Douglas, Deborah Ferrell, Sue Daugherty, and her caregiver and friend, Jeanie Stubbs. Survivors include a daughter, Terry Blodgett of Pampa, a son, Robert Morris and wife Melody of Lawton, Oklahoma, two granddaughters, Michelle Blodgett of Pampa, and Tiffany Morris of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, two grandsons, Jon Morris of Burkburnett, and Michael Morris of Burns Flat Oklahoma, and two great-grandchildren, Makayla Walton and Cullen Cagle, both of Burns Flat, Oklahoma.
