Albert B. Stevens, 76, died November 20, 2013 in Amarillo. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Stevens was born January 12, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a twelve-year veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Doris Burson on August 14, 1965 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Albert had been a resident of Pampa off and on throughout the years, moving back to Pampa in 2002. He was a charter member of the V.F.W. in McLean. He was a carpenter and builder. Albert was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Doris Stevens of Pampa, a daughter, Bambi Griffin and husband Michael of Amarillo, a son, Albert A. Stevens of Pampa, two brothers, Jerry Rollison and wife Judy of Campwood, and Byron Rollison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Michael Brandon Griffin and AnnaMarie Beckett, both of Amarillo, Andrea Wright of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Colby Stevens of Italy, James Keith Stevens of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Layne Stevens of Pampa, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
