Lola was born August 22, 1917 in Pierce, Oklahoma to Charlie and Lucy Stewart Ridge. Lola married J. T. Richardson, Sr. on July 28, 1935, where they made their home in Pampa. They had four children. Together they owned and operated J. T. Richardson Trucking Company for many years, both retiring in 1972. She was a member of Harrah Methodist Church. She loved fishing, cooking, and making jelly. Everyone loved her barbeque sauce. She loved helping people and never met a stranger. Most of all, she loved her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and the best Nana in the world! Full of sugar and spice, she was always had a funny story to share and a giant hug to give. She never hung up the phone or walk out the door without saying “I love you”. Her grandchildren absolutely adored her. There will never be another Nana Lola. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Lucy Ridge; six brothers and sisters; her husband J. T. Richardson, Sr.; and two sons, Arthur Ray Richardson and Perry Joe Richardson. Lola is survived by her children Tommy Richardson and wife Evelyn of Carrollton, and daughter, Betty Rogers of Houston and four grandchildren, Teresa (Terry) Eve and husband James, Thomas (Tommy) Brian and wife Desri, Lesley Bridgen and husband Jerry, and Jason Rogers, and four great-grandchildren, Ben Briscoe, Luke Richardson, Adam Richardson, and Amanda Ostrander. She lived in Pampa 71 years until she moved to Houston in 2006. She had so many wonderful friends but she especially cherished all of her Pampa friends. They always remained near and dear to her heart. She had the sweetest smile, biggest heart and prettiest red hair. We referred to you by different names Mother, Lola Bell, Nana Lola, Miss Lola, and Kit. We agree on one thing, you were a blessing to all of us and we will love you forever. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Carmichael Whatley Funeral Home in Pampa.
