Danny G. King

Danny G. King, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, 77, died Friday, December 20, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013, at First Christian Church with Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor and Rev. Roy King, his brother and a Disciples of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. King was born on March 19, 1936 in Pampa where he has been a lifelong resident. Danny married Sue Williams on August 17, 1957 in Pampa. He retired as Environmental Coordinator from Celanese. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, son, Steven King, two brothers. , and a great-grandson, Corbin Florer. Survivors include his wife, Sue; two daughters, Sharon King of Garland and Jenny King of Houston; son, Matthew King of Haslet; brother, Rev. Roy King of Pampa; and sister, Jerrye Smith of Madison, Alabama; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
