Wanda Jean Salsman, 85, died Monday, December 30, 2013 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Salsman was born Sept. 4, 1928, in Elk City, Oklahoma to James and Norma Music. She married Ray L. Salsman on June 5, 1946 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2004. She was a 1946 graduate of Port High School in Port, Oklahoma. She moved to Pampa in 1978 from Spearman. Wanda worked at Pampa Credit Bureau and Guaranty Abstract and Title Co. for several years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing with her husband of 58 years. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Killough and husband Nathan of Amarillo, and Kathie Clark and husband Jim of Kingston, OK; ten grandchildren, JoAnn Nalley and husband Brad, Craig Roberts, and Bradley Killough, all of Amarillo, Troy Rhodes and wife Christina of Owasso, OK, and Kevin Rhodes and wife Tonya of Piedmont, OK, Michael Killough and wife Stacy of Malakoff, Rodney Killough of Amarillo, Andy Killough, Brann Wade of Alaska, and Taryn Wade of Oklahoma City; six great grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, Spencer, Emily, and Carter Rhodes, and Grace Killough; two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Elmon and Abe Music, and by two sisters, Katherine Jones and Margaret Hunt.
