William "Bill" Sandefur

William “Bill” Sandefur, 77, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, in Pampa. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Sandefur was born April 13, 1936 in Strawn where he was raised and attended schools. He came to Pampa in 1958 and lived here and in the Dallas area most of his adult life. He worked in the construction business where he did sheetrocking. In his spare time, he liked to read. He will be remembered as a giving person and an animal lover. Survivors include 3 sisters, Ella Mae Hazard of Sweetwater, Barbara Martinez of Pampa, and Pattie Barnett of Abilene; 3 brothers, Clyde Sandefur and wife DJ of Bakersfield, CA, John Sandefur of Pampa, and David Sandefur of Odessa; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dorsett Sandefur, 2 brothers, Raymond and Richard, and a sister, Joyce Thornton.
