Alexis Anne Mulanax, 30, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, Jan 7, 2014, at Briarwood Church with Bro. Paul Nachtigall, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mulanax was born on May 14, 1983 in Pampa. She attended Pampa schools. She played varsity volleyball and softball for the Pampa Lady Harvesters and graduated from Pampa High School in 2001. She later attended Amarillo College where she studied Dental Hygiene and Education. She and her husband Jerry were high school sweethearts since 1999 and they would later marry in 2007 in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. While in college in Amarillo she worked for Olive Garden and Logan’s Roadhouse. In Pampa, she worked for Broome Optical until she focused on raising her daughter. Alexis was an artist and she expressed herself through photography, arts & crafts, just to name a few. She will be remembered as a very thoughtful person and an extremely devoted mother. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Mulanax and their daughter, Natalie Grace Mulanax both of the home; parents, Ace and Brenda Amador of Pampa; 1 sister, April McElroy and husband Eric of Brownfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adam and Sonia Mulanax of Pampa; three brothers-in-law, Mark Mulanax and partner Justin Walker of Amarillo, Jake Mulanax and wife Stephanie, and Ben Mulanax, all of Pampa; paternal grandparents, Adelaido and Ignacia Amador; maternal grandmother, Novella Burns of Pampa; and numerous nieces, nephews and many cousins.
