Gary Don Noblett, 62, left his earthly body behind and went to be with his Lord on January 10, 2014 in Pampa. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 13, 2014, at Central Baptist Church in Pampa, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, Rev. Anthony Inman, pastor of United Methodist Church of Miami, and Kelly Rushing, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Gary was born September 7, 1951 in Lubbock to Wilma and Escal Noblett. He was a 1970 graduate of Plainview High School and attended Amarillo College for one year. He then began a career in law enforcement which spanned five decades. He was proud to be a law enforcement officer and was a detective for the Pampa Police Department at the time of his death. Gary married Marilyn Floyd on April 1, 1992 in Amarillo and they began their adventure of 21 years together. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Mike Noblett. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of the home; a sister, Donna Noblett of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Dee Hooley and Monica Bort, both of Amarillo; a stepson, Kenny Gupton of Amarillo; two nieces, Misty Fisher of Odessa and Shea Noblett of Lubbock; and many friends, both in and out of law enforcement.
