Sandra Sue Hemphill

Sandra Sue Hemphill, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, in Borger. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 1, 2014, at First Assembly of God with Charity Harris, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hemphill was born May 22, 1941 in Ellsworth, Kansas. She attended schools in Holyrood, Kansas before moving to Pampa where she finished her education. She married David Hemphill on Feb. 8, 1958 in Pampa. Sandra was a member of First Assembly of God in Pampa, and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, painting, and gardening, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her kids, grandkids, and her dogs. Survivors include her husband, David Hemphill, of the home; a son, David Randall Hemphill and wife Terri of Pearland; three daughters, Julie Elizabeth Hansen and husband Tony of Edmond, Oklahoma, Melissa Sue Wallin and husband Steven and Shantillee Melissa Davis and husband Clayton, all of Pampa; two sisters, Janie Taylor and husband Larry of Wheeler, and Linda Ruth McPherson of Weston, West Virginia; three grandsons, Christopher Hemphill and wife Andrea and Stephen Michael Hemphill and wife Amanda, all of Pearland, and Jory Michael Nance of Edmond, Oklahoma; seven granddaughters, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Smith and husband Jerrod, Kayla Lee Belanger and husband James, Tessa Rae Nance, and Delaney Grace Hansen, all of Edmond, Oklahoma and Chelsea Cecelia Wallin, Zoe Isabella Davis, and Samantha Jo Davis, all of Pampa; three great grandsons, Gavyn Nikolas Nance and Bradley Michael Nance, both of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Joshua Connor Hemphill of Pearland.
