Cathey Denton Maxwell

Cathey Denton Maxwell, 51, died January 27, 2014 in Pampa. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Yates, Interim Hospice chaplain, and Pastor Erron Mercer, of the Cornerstone Church in Wheeler, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Maxwell was born September 20, 1962 in Wellington. She married Jimmy Ray Maxwell on May 24, 2004 in Amarillo. She had been a resident of Pampa since 2009. Cathey was a medical assistant for Amarillo Wound Care Center for eight years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her father, Elvis Gene Denton. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Maxwell of the home; her mother, Pauline Denton of Amarillo; a brother, Jimmie Denton of San Antonio, four sisters, Teresa Gordzelik and Debbie Holly, both of Amarillo, Sandy Bowen of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and JoAnn Troutman of Wichita, Kansas.
