Susan Howard Martin, 48, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 20, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Ray OQuin, officiating. A private burial will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Susan was born May 13, 1965 in Pampa. She attended Mobeetie ISD through the ninth grade before moving to Laketon and graduating from Miami High School. After making her home in Laketon, she enjoyed living the country life with her husband, Steve. Susan loved spending time outside on horseback, checking cattle with her beloved dogs by her side. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her son, Justin, his wife Bridget, and her grandson Easton, who was the joy of her life and who called her Gigi. She went to heaven to be with her daddy, Bobby Howard; and her grandparents, Bud and Marie Howard and Albert and Ella Trout. Family includes her husband, Stephen Martin of the home; her son, Justin Holman, his wife Bridget and their son, Easton, all of Pampa; one stepdaughter, Katherine Martin of the home; her mother, Marolyn Howard OQuin and husband Ray of Laketon; a brother, Scott Howard and wife Denise of McLean; a sister, Shelley Gunter and husband Kenneth “Slim” of Sweetwater; nieces and nephews, Suzanne and Bradley Howard, and Kaycee and Kason Gunter; and numerous extended family and good friends.
