Alice May Appleton, 72, died February 25, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Highland Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Nachtigall, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Appleton was born October 8, 1941 in Phoenix, Arizona, to Glenn and Elwanda Sturgill Honeycutt. She was a lifelong resident of Pampa. Alice was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica Appleton; and two brothers, Buster Newman and Wendill Honeycutt. Survivors include two sons, Donny Brown and wife Connie, and Billy Brown and wife Trinnia, all of Pampa; a daughter, Wanda Kreider and husband Pete of Pampa; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bonnie Cross and husband Maurice of Pampa, LaFonda Darnall and husband Jim of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Glenda Albus of Dallas, and Sandy Pendergrass and husband Billy of Colbert, Oklahoma; and three brothers, Dan Honeycutt of Elk City, Oklahoma; Michael Honeycutt and wife LaDona of Pampa, and Terry Honeycutt of Midland.
