Wanda Lee Hubanks

Wanda Lee Hubanks, 81, died Friday, March 14, 2014, in Pampa.  Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Charles Lowry, pastor of CrossPointe Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.  Mrs. Hubanks was born Dec. 23, 1932 in Wellington to Ray and Cleo Thelma Fitzer. She attended schools in Hollis, Oklahoma and played basketball for Hollis High School. Wanda married Bobby Gene Hubanks on Nov. 24, 1949 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2010. Wanda was the manager of Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Store in Pampa for 10 years. She was a member of the CrossPointe Church. Wanda was a great mother, wife and a very loving grandmother.  Survivors include two sons, Larry G. Hubanks of Atlanta, GA, and Robby D. Hubanks of Pampa; three daughters, Debra K. Muir of Houston, Pamela G. Hubanks, and Rhonda M. Barnett, both of Pampa; a brother, Billy Fitzer of Pampa; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CrossPointe Church, 711 E. Harvester, Pampa, TX 79065.
