Renetta Kidd

Renetta Kidd, 88, died March 15, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jim Yates, Interim Hospice chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Kidd was born May 2, 1925 in Searcy, Arkansas. She married William F. “Bill” Kidd on November 3, 1944 in Dewitt, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2004. Renetta had been a resident of Pampa since 1953. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Brenda, Jamie, Chaney, Julie, Rhonda, Brandy and Jessica, and many others who helped with Renetta’s care. Survivors include three sons, Phillip Kidd of Nocona, Bill Kidd and wife Rhonda of Lefors, and Toney Kidd of Pampa; a daughter: Sharon Albus and husband Nick of Trinity; two sisters, Isabel Greene and husband Charlie of Tucson, Arizona, and Barbara Howe and husband Duane of Pampa; a brother, Leslie D. Berryman and wife Josie of Tucson, Arizona; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
