Lorraine Elizabeth Dittle

June 13, 1923 — March 18, 2014

Lorraine Elizabeth Dittle, 90, died March 18, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor, and Joe Mabry, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Dittle was born June 13, 1923 in Maytown, Illinois to Richard and Anna Sharkey Gillan. She was a 1941 graduate of LaMoille High School in LaMoille, Illinois. She married Wilbert A. Dittle on June 2, 1970 in Oglesby, Illinois. She was the love of his life, and they were married for thirty-seven years before his death in May of 2007. She was a homemaker and moved to Pampa in 2007 to be closer to her daughter. She was a devoted mother and a woman of deep faith who shared her love of the Lord with her family and friends. She attended First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Wade; a son-in-law, Anthony Leonard Wasilauskis; a grandson, Christopher Anthony Wasilauskis; two sisters, Ruth Kryzek and Lucille Pinter; and six brothers, Earl Gillan, William Gillan, Harold Gillan, Leo Gillan, Richard Gillan and Vincent Gillan. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Linda Wasilauskis of Pampa; two sisters, Bernice Schneider and Shirley Klein, both of Cherry, Illinois; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, especially Janet Drewell and Julie Niewinski. The family would like to express their appreciation to Accolade Home Care and Accolade Hospice Care, and to her special caregiver, Pam Spranger for her loving care and friendship.
