Uola Mae Coffey Waldrop, 75, of Pampa, went home to our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 4, 2014 in McLean.Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Canton Cemetery in Canton, Oklahoma with Rev. Lester Lowry, pastor of Evangel Assembly of God in Enid, Oklahoma, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ms. Waldrop was born Oct. 16, 1938 in Canton, Oklahoma and had lived in Pampa since August of 2001. She worked as a medical records clerk in several hospitals and medical facilities in Oklahoma City, Enid, and Shawnee. She attended church regularly until her health failed. Uola enjoyed cooking, baking bread, eating out at different kinds of restaurants, sewing and quilt making. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially bird watching, having picnics, and viewing wildflowers. She always looked forward to travel excursions with her four sisters every summer, and she loved spending time with all of her extended family.Survivors include three sons, James Waldrop, Leon Waldrop and wife Amelia, and Duane Waldrop, all of Pampa; four sisters, Ethel Unger and husband Will of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Karen Sue Wheeler and husband Eldon of Enid, Oklahoma, Sybil Gross and Gail Slusher and husband Paul, all of Oklahoma City; a brother, Lynn Coffey of Woodland, Alabama; five grandchildren, Dakotah Waldrop, Daniel Waldrop and wife Kayleen, Megan Waldrop, Miranda Waldrop, and Chelsea DeWitt and husband Michael, all of Pampa; three great grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Brooks, Crush O. V. Waldrop, and Lexi Michelle DeWitt, all of Pampa; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Uola was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar George and Johnnie Mae Coffey, and by a brother, Randall Coffey.
