Carolyn Gerik

Carolyn Gerik, 73, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Pampa.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ms. Gerik was born May 8, 1940 in Pampa and was a 1958 graduate of Pampa High School. She worked for Cabot Corp. in Pampa and Houston for many years. After returning to Pampa from Houston, she worked for Curt Beck, Professional Engineer, for several years. She was a Catholic. Carolyn was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved her dogs, genealogy, and playing Scrabble on the computer. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Grace King, and by a daughter, Carolyn Melinda “Mindy” Hutchins, in 1996.  Survivors include two sons, David Gerik of Pampa and Paul Gerik of Iowa Park; a brother, Mike King of Pampa; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
