Billie Mac Millican, 85, of Pampa, died April 30, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2014 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Throckmorton Cemetery in Throckmorton, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Millican was born August 10, 1928 in Throckmorton County to L. H. and Josephine Abbott Millican. He was a 1945 graduate of Throckmorton High School. Billie Mac married Frances Anderson on April 1, 1950 in Jean, Texas. In 1950, he went to work for Woodson Oil Company as a pumper. In 1955 he went to work for Diamond Shamrock Oil & Gas as a pumper. In 1965 he transferred with Diamond Shamrock to Canadian as a pumper and in 1967, transferred to Pampa as a production foreman. After 36 ½ years, he retired from Diamond Shamrock/Maxus Energy as a superintendent. Billie Mac was a lifetime member of A.P.I. for 47 years, a member of Hidden Hills Senior Golf Association, and a devoted member of Central Baptist Church and The Covenant Sunday school class. He enjoyed golfing, supporting the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, Billie Mac enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger, young or old. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Freddie Millican. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Frances Millican; a son, Joe Mack Millican and wife Pam of Pampa; two daughters, Marsha Elliott and husband William of Abilene, and Melinda Millican of Hurst; a sister, Lorelle Anderson of Abilene; two granddaughters, Jodi Etheredge and husband Chad of Pampa, and LeeAnn “Doodle” Zabloudil and husband Alan of Plano; three great-granddaughters, McKenna and Brenlie Etheredge of Pampa, and Lauren J. Zabloudil of Plano; one great-grandson, Jake Alan Zabloudil, III of Plano who is due in June of this year. Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065, or American Cancer Society, c/o Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
