Katherine Sullins, longtime resident of Pampa, died peacefully Thursday, May 1, 2014, at BSA Hospice Care in Amarillo. Liturgy of the Word will be at 2:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Christopher Schwind, associate pastor of St.Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Born in Hillsboro, Texas on October 10, 1919, to Russell and Frances Moseley, she came to Pampa with her parents at the beginning of the oil boom in 1921. She attended school in Pampa. She married Claude (Dick) Sullins in 1938. Together they owned and operated Sullins Plumbing, Heating and Air-conditioning for 40 years. Family and friends were Katherine's passion and she gave freely of her love, time, and energy to both. In addition, she was an active member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Pampa Chamber of Commerce, and the Altrusa Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and daughter, Sondra Sullins Lustgarten. She is survived by her son, Michael Sullins of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, daughter, Deborah Crow of Denver, Colorado, nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
