Johnny Dorman

Johnny Dorman, 68, of Lefors, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Amarillo  Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Lefors Church of Christ, with Gene Gee, minister, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Dorman was born May 20, 1945 in Pampa where he attended schools. He married Janice Jensen on Aug. 3, 1968 in Arvada, Colorado. Johnny worked as a commercial truck driver, and after driving, he had paper routes with the Amarillo Globe News and the Pampa News. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and bowling. Survivors include his wife, Janice Dorman, of the home; a daughter, Brenda Dorman of Lefors; two sisters, Josephine Lee and husband James of Lefors and Pearlene Bird of Arvada, CO; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Dorman and Erine Dorman Bowling, and by a son, Johnny Dorman, Jr. Memorials may be made to PAWS, P. O. Box 2095, Pampa, TX 79066-2095.
