Clara Mae Smith

Clara Mae Smith, 71, died May 11, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Pastor Micah Meurer, of the River Road campus of Paramount Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Smith was born August 22, 1942 in Sierra Blanca, Texas. She married Warren Smith on December 24, 1960 in Wickett. She worked for Kmart, Anthony’s and ALCO for many years. She was a member of Barrett Baptist Church and Cornerstone Baptist Church for over 45 years. Clara Mae was a member of a cancer survivors group for several years, the teddy bear ministries at Cornerstone Baptist, and Team Kids. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and collecting ceramic butterflies. Survivors include her husband, Warren Smith of the home; a daughter, Lisa Love and husband Brad of Wichita Falls; two sons, Michael Smith and wife Jamie of Pampa, and Kenneth Smith and wife Lynn of Benbrook; and nine grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Nathan Love and fiancée Emily Croston, Layce Smith, NaKayla Hardman, Abby Love, Raina Smith, Wyatt Smith, Brittney Balay and Heather Bell.
