Terry J. Brown, 68, died May 13, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, May 16, 2014 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Phillip Brown, his son and pastor of Home Church in Lubbock, and Kyle Langford, his nephew, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Masonic rites courtesy of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Terry was born December 7, 1945 in Pampa and was a 1964 graduate of Pampa High School. He graduated from Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston. He was a funeral director for Service Corp. International in Houston for many years before joining Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa where he worked for eleven years. Terry was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239 in Amarillo. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a former member of Pampa Rotary Club. Terry was an avid football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bonita Brown; a sister, June Butler; and his former wife, Annette. Survivors include two sons, Phillip Brown and wife Kim of Wolfforth, and Paul Brown and wife Kim of Olathe, Kansas; a sister, Jane Langford of Pampa; a brother, Jim Brown of Borger; and six grandchildren, Madison, Jackson and Reagan Brown, all of Olathe, Kansas, Colton Brown, and Zachary and Matthew Plunkett, all of Wolfforth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 190567, Dallas, Texas 75219-0567. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM Thursday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
