Wilma Reed Jeffries

Wilma Reed Jeffries, 96, died May 14, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Trinity Fellowship Church, with Pastor Lonny Robbins, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Jeffries was born January 21, 1918 in Mabank. She married Harold Reed on January 29, 1939 in San Angelo. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1987. She later married A. R. Jeffries on July 2, 1988 in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2000. Wilma had been a resident of Borger where she owned Charcoal House with her husband Harold. She later moved to Bowie, and then moved to Pampa in 2002. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and was an active volunteer with the Harvest House. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Billy Ferguson and Justin Reed; two brothers, L. C. Henson and A. C. Henson; and a sister, Willie Fleming. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Stroud and husband Ed of Pampa; two sons, Garry Reed of Bowie and Fred Reed of Borger; a sister, Dicksie Hodges and husband S. T. of Emory; a brother, J. C. Henson and wife Pam of Crawfordsville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Lynda Bruce of Pampa, Leslie Cockrell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bryan Reed of Norman, Oklahoma, Lance Reed of Panhandle, and Cindy Arney of Amarillo; nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Harvest House, P.O. Box 2929, Pampa, Texas 79066-2929.
