Evelyn Roberta Williams

Evelyn Roberta Williams, 80, of Pampa, died May 22, 2014 in Lefors. Services will be at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, with Keith Feerer, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Williams was born July 5, 1933 in Jacksonville, Texas, where she was reared and attended school. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1953. Evelyn worked for Marie Foundations, Highland General Hospital and Dr. Falkenstein. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa and Western Avenue Church of Christ in Liberal, Kansas. In her spare time, she liked to fish and travel, but most of all, she liked to spend time with her family. Evelyn was preceded in death by two husbands, Archie Young and Jesse Williams; and her father. Survivors include four sons, Avery Young of Houston, Steven Young and wife Nicole of Murphy, Wayne Young and wife Annette of Liberal, Kansas, and Derrick Young and wife Robin of Lefors; three daughters, Shirley Osby of McKinney, Debra Calloway and husband Harry of Houma, Louisiana, and Leslie Carswell and husband Will of Liberal, Kansas; her mother, Roberta Thomas of Tyler; a sister, Shirley Malone and husband Grover of Independence, Kansas; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
