Mary Jo Jernigan, 66, died May 22, 2014 in Pampa. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Jernigan was born December 15, 1947 in Lubbock. She was reared and attended school in Tulia. In 1962 she and her family moved to Pampa where she resided ever since. She was a beautician for many years, working at the Mayfair Beauty Salon. Mary Jo attended Central Baptist Church and later joined Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Berner; a brother, Jerry Mack Morphis; a son, Brian Jernigan; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Jernigan. Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Hazle of Lake City, Kansas, and Monica Warner of Pampa; two brothers, David Morphis and wife Lena of Plainview, and Donald Morphis and wife Lana of Amarillo; six grandsons, Tad Coombes and wife Jonelle of Lefors, Reice Warner, Clay Warner, Kyle Warner, and Kade Winkler, all of Pampa, and Darin Hazle of Kemmerer, Wyoming; two granddaughters, Lanie Hazle of Canyon, and Avalette Warner of Pampa; and one great-grandson, Trace Coombes of Lefors.
