Alvin "Grizzly" Jones

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Dr. Robert Sarpalius, Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Jones was born March 27, 1949 in Indiahoma, Oklahoma. He was a 1967 graduate of Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch. He married Sandy Sanders in October of 1967 and she preceded him in death on February 10, 1997. Alvin had been a resident of Pampa for over 40 years. He worked for Pioneer Natural Gas for 18 years, was a truck driver for 24 years, and was a Cal Farley’s alumni. He loved his dogs “Mischief” and “Jewels.” Survivors include two daughters, Sheri Stewart of Amarillo, and Melissa Felts and husband Ted of Dallas; a sister, Wanda Bartlett and husband Pee-Wee of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Ryan Stewart, Garrett Jones, Jason Gallardo, Joel Gallardo, Kyra Felts and Randall Felts.
