George Newman

George Newman, 77, died June 5, 2014 in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Mobeetie Cemetery, with Bro. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Newman was born May 1, 1937 in Wheeler. He worked for Coca Cola Corporation as a stacker, retiring after 31 years. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. George was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mattie Newman; and a brother, Willis Newman. He is survived by his sister, Melba Brown of Pampa.
