Richard Albert “Dick” Wilson, 85, died June 2, 2014 in Pampa. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Wilson was born May 27, 1929 in Amarillo and was a 1947 graduate of Pampa High School. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in pharmacy. Dick married Barbara Southard on December 22, 1952 in Pampa. She preceded him in death in 1992. He owned and operated Wilson Bell Drug in Pampa for many years, and also worked for Heard Jones Health Mart and B & B Pharmacy for several years. Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He loved horses, bowling, fishing, and was an excellent sharp shooter. Survivors include a son, Stephen Wilson and Tammy Richardson of Pampa; a granddaughter, Lisa Wilson, of Cleveland, OH; a brother, James A. Wilson of Willis; sister-in-law, Anita Bell and husband John Lee Bell of Pampa; special friend and longtime companion, Ruth McBride of Pampa; and nephew, Shane Wilson.
