Misty Dawn Smith-Santacruz, 43, of Pampa, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, in Borger. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rick Pearson, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Misty Dawn Smith-Santacruz was born on August, 29, 1970 in Clinton, Oklahoma. As a young girl she moved with her family to Pampa where she would become a lifelong resident. Misty attended Pampa schools and graduated from Pampa High School in 1988. She worked at Lamar Elementary School, Dr. Kamnani’s office, Dr. Ford’s office, and finally at Urosource for the last several years. She liked sewing, gardening, and crafting. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, Tony, riding motorcycles. What Misty enjoyed most was sharing time with all of her family and caring for all of her children and grandchildren. Misty will be remembered as a very generous person who put everyone before herself. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Misty was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert V. and Hazel Smith, and by her aunt, Barbara Flannery. Survivors include her husband Tony Santacruz of the home; two daughters, Kali Perez and husband Johnny of Rush Springs, Oklahoma and Kambra Martinez and husband Matthew of Pampa; a son, Ramon Jimenez and his fiancée Elizabeth of Pampa; her parents, James and Patti Smith of Pampa; 2 brothers, Adam Smith and wife Missy and Kevin Moxon and wife Lois, all of Pampa; 7 grandchildren, Jazlynn Martinez, Abigale Perez, Michael Martinez, June Jimenez, Jax Martinez, Leo Martinez, Anthony James Perez; 2 nephews, Garrett Beard of Denton and Trevor Smith of Pampa; a niece, Jayci Carroll; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesus and Naty Santacruz, and she is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
