Teddie Evans, 68, ended his four year battle with cancer on Monday, June 16, 2014 in Scurry, Texas. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Ross Evans, his son and pastor of La Iglesia Bautista Latinoamericana, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Teddie was born on December 6, 1945 in Shamrock, Texas. He graduated from Martha High School in 1964 and Oklahoma State Tech in 1966. After graduation he married Beth Hamilton and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas. Teddie began working for Sears Roebuck as a service technician and later as service manager and store manager at various locations around Texas. After leaving Sears, he worked with his brother Calvin running bait shops at Lake Texoma. In the early 1980’s, Teddie moved to Pampa to work as an electrician with his brother Cayson at Hoechst-Celanese. Teddie was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Birdie Evans, and his twin brother, Freddie Evans. He is survived by two sons, Scott and wife Lyric, and Ross and wife Gerri; six grandchildren, Amber, Alexis, Jayson, Jacob, Caleb and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Tristan and Grayson; and his five siblings, Cayson, Calvin, Mary Ann, Charles, and Clara Mae.
