Mary Gene Poston

Mary Gene Poston, 70, of Amarillo, died June 19, 2014 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Pampa, with James Greer, director of missions for the Top O’ Texas Baptist Association, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Ms. Poston was born March 15, 1944 in Pampa. She attended Pampa schools and later attended college in Dallas. She was a homemaker. In her spare time, Mary liked to fish, read and study. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pampa. She was a former resident of Pampa, living the last few years in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Poston; two brothers, Charles Edward Poston, Jr., and Jerry Lynn Poston; and a son, Charles Lynn Poston. Survivors include a son, Scott Frith of Lubbock; a grandson, Scott Alan Frith of Lubbock; a sister, Emma Poston of Amarillo; and 2 nephews, Mike Poston of Amarillo and Jerry Poston of Dallas.
