Lovetta Harris, 56, of Pampa, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 in White Deer Cemetery with Matt Bales, her cousin, officiating. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Van Chriestenson, her cousin, and Jim Yates, chaplain of Interim Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Lovetta Harris was born on September, 21, 1957 in Lubbock to Glen and Erlene Harris. Shortly after her birth, Lovetta and her family moved to Montrose, Colorado. She attended and graduated from the Happiness School of Montrose. Several years later, Lovetta and her parents made their home in Joplin, Missouri where she worked at their sheltered workshop. After leaving Joplin, she lived in Amarillo for 20 years before moving to Pampa in 2009. Lovetta’s greatest joy was being with her family, and she was especially proud of being an aunt to her nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to Interim Hospice for their care of Lovetta. Lovetta was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol and Sheryl Harris; her maternal grandparents, Joe and Johanna Young, and her paternal grandparents, Amos and Verna Harris. Survivors include her parents, Glen and Erlene Harris; 2 brothers, Gary Harris and wife Laurie of Fountain, Colorado, and Michael Harris of Boise, Idaho; 3 nephews, Trampos Harris of Hobbs, New Mexico, Cooper Harris and Brody Harris all of Fountain, Colorado; 3 nieces, Skyler Harris, Morgan Harris, and Blayke Harris all of Boise, Idaho and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
