Donna Lee Pingelton, 82, of Panhandle, peacefully went to join the Lord Monday evening July 7, 2014 in Pampa. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral directors of Pampa. Donna’s body and mind were failing for the past 5 years but not her spirit. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband Cyril, her parents John and Lou Edstrand, a brother Michael, and a sister Sandra, and many close, loving friends. Her family is comforted knowing she is with them now, as the whole and healthy woman we were all so fond of. She will be remembered for her many years as a devoted teacher, giving of her time and love in the community during others' times of need and as a beautiful mother. She is survived by her three children, Scott Kennedy and wife Glea, Lynne Satterwhite and her husband Kent, and Amy Kiker and her husband J. Frank. Nana had eight grandchildren, Nicole, Benjamin, Drew and Claire Satterwhite, Bobbie Brookshire (Kennedy), Lindsay Young (Kennedy) and Jett and Katy Kiker. She was a great Nana to Ella, Jack, Wyatt, Gavan, Sawyer, Kyler and Kohynn. The family will be gathered at 1002 Country Club Road in Panhandle. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pampa Nursing Center at 1321 W. Kentucky Ave., Pampa, Texas 79065 or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org)
