Jan (Honey) Thomas

Jan (Honey) Thomas, 74, of Pampa, went home to heaven on July 14, 2014. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Fred Palmer, pastor of the Carpenter's Church, officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Honey was born December 6, 1939 in San Francisco, California to Inga and Edward Hunt. She worked several jobs during her lifetime. The ones she loved the most were working in a pet shop, and taking care of exotic animals at her home. She was also a part owner in a locksmith business. One of the best days of her life was on April 15, 1996 when she married the love of her life, W. D. Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis Hunt and Edward Hunt; and her baby girl, Jerri Lynn Lane. She is survived by her husband, W. D. Thomas of the home; three children, Ron Lane and wife Lynn of Borger, Mike Lane and wife Heather of Pampa, and Cheryl Vilasco of Piamillos, Mexico; two stepchildren, Brent Thomas and Brenon Thomas; a brother, Jerry Hunt of Radcliff, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Starr, Toby, Tyler, Hannah, Holly, Hope, Haley and Trekker Lane, Levi and Desha Quackenbush, and Sara Lyons; four step-grandchildren, Angie, William and Daniel Gatlin, and Amy Thomas-Luchew; and 15 great-grandchildren: Maddox, Mikey, Zach, Logan, Harmony and Teagan Lane, Greyson, Benson, Addison, and Jackson Lyons, Christiana, Mondo, Santos and one-on-the-way Quackenbush, and Cali Ponce.
