Emma Louise Swigart

Emma Louise Swigart, 58, of Mobeetie, died July 15, 2014 in Mobeetie. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Mobeetie, with Bill Burkholder of Miami, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa. Mrs. Swigart was born January 24, 1956 in Bexar County to Owen and Mary Taylor. She married Thomas Swigart on May 22, 1976. She had been a resident of Mobeetie since 1982. She graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting. Emma served on the Mobeetie City Council for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Janice Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Swigart of the home; a daughter, Mary Swigart Stokes of Pampa; a son, Jacob Allen Swigart and wife Sara of Green River, Wyoming; her sister, Velma Carpenter; five grandchildren, Danielle Nelson and wife Melissa, Amy Nelson, Triston Johnson, Brandon Swigart and Bella Swigart. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
