Don R. Elledge, 86, of White Deer, died July 19, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor of First Baptist Church of White Deer, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Elledge was born July 2, 1928 in Perryton. He married Marilee Cooper on December 20, 1946 in Amarillo. Don had been a resident of White Deer since 1981 moving from Pampa. He retired from Celanese Chemical Corp. in 1991 as Area 1 Supervisor. Don was a member of the United Methodist Church in White Deer. He was a former president and CEO of the White Deer Senior Citizens Center and a member of the Pamcel Federal Credit Union. Don was preceded in death by 1 brother, Jimmy Elledge in 1935 and 1 sister Bonnie Reeves in 2012. Survivors include his wife, Marilee Elledge of the home; a son, Larry Elledge and wife Marion of White Deer; 1 brother, Jack Elledge of Rapid City, South Dakota; 6 grandchildren, Jacqueline Elledge, Amy Elledge, Zach Elledge, Sarah Strange, Abigail Elledge and Brandy Waugh; and 6 great-grandchildren, Ethan Wingo, Evan Hutchinson, William Strange, Sloane Strange, Brooklyn Waugh and Kaylee Waugh. In lieu of flower the family suggests memorials be made to your favorite charities.
