Donna Jean Galyon Goff, 79, of Pampa, died September 3, 2014 in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 5, 2014 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Lewis Ellis, Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Goff was born July 30, 1935, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, to Homer and Helen Galyon. She married Cleo A. Goff on November 23, 1952, at Antelope Valley Church of the Brethren. She moved to Pampa permanently in 1956 where she loved her many friends. Growing up in Garber, Oklahoma, Donna was active as a Garber Wolverine. She participated in oral reading events, was a basketball player, cheerleader, and band member where she played the bells and was flag girl. She accepted Christ at an outdoor tent revival in her hometown and was baptized. Donna served her church and community in many ways. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, “Where Friends Meet God.” She served in the Women’s Work which made curtains, embroidered towels, provided food baskets to help families, and performed a variety of services to help her church. She taught Sunday school and was an active youth ministry leader. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and actively served to refurbish toys for children at Christmastime and provide Christmas food and gifts for families in need. She was a Girl Scout Leader, as well. Donna decorated many birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and all occasion cakes for people over the years while working for Ideal, Albertson, and Frank’s Bakeries. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dorothy Rogers of Enid and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Donna is survived by her husband, Cleo A. Goff; her daughter, Jeannie Belcher and husband Frank of Canadian; her granddaughter, Angela Black and husband Aaron of Canadian; her grandson, Jay Belcher and wife Amy of Amarillo; great-granddaughters, Abigail Black and Arionna Black, both of Canadian; and great-grandsons, Lachlan Belcher and Aidan Belcher, both of Amarillo. She had nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews who she loved to visit. Nonna, as she was called by her great-grandchildren, loved to attend church, school and athletic events for all her children. She not only showed great love for all of her family, but was also beloved by all of us!
