Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Rodney Weatherly, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Cave Creek Cemetery near Vinson, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Shawn was born Nov. 19, 1942 in Phillips to J. D. and Arlene Weldon Martin. She was reared in Phillips and was a 1961 graduate of Phillips High School. Nancy married Reuben Shawn on Nov. 5, 1983 in Wheeler. She was a resident of Wheeler for 35 years until moving to Pampa in 2011. While living in Wheeler, she was a florist and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Reuben Shawn, of the home; three sons, Ben Watson and wife Maxine of Pampa, Bill Watson of Amarillo, and Edward Shawn and wife Melissa of Muldrow, Arkansas; a daughter, Andrea Beaumeister and husband Steven of Hackett, Arkansas; her mother, Arlene Martin of Graham; a brother, Jesse Martin of Graham; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her father and by a sister, Sandra Vaughn.
