Marge Hix Walker

Marge Hix Walker, 90, passed into the arms of her Lord on October 22, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, October 24, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Walker was born November 8, 1923 in Ringling, Oklahoma. She married Floyd E. Walker on January 4, 1942. They moved to Pampa in 1943 which had been her home until her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd in 1987, and a grandson, Shane Walker in 2009. Survivors include her son, Danny Walker and wife Sonia of Amarillo; her daughter, Sheridan Harnly and husband Henry J. of Cuchara, Colorado; five grandchildren, Cody Walker and wife Cynthia, and Brandon Walker, all of Amarillo, Leigh Chisum and husband Jeff of Pampa, Maury Harp and husband Tom of Plainview, and Matt Harnly of Midland; and nine great-grandchildren, all who loved and cared for her all the days of her life. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to caregivers Connie Cuevas and Fred Bunton, Debbie Douglas and the staff of Interim Hospice, and nurse practitioner Brenda McCullough, for their wonderful care of Mrs. Walker. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
