ElDora Bloomingdale Willis, 78, of Pampa, died October 27, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 31, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, and Beau Taylor, her grandson-in-law, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Willis was born January 14, 1936 in Westbrook, Maine. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1962. She married Owen Eugene Willis on June 30, 1956 in Weatherford. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2004. ElDora taught piano for many years. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ and accordion. She was a member of Briarwood Church and a former member of Altrusa International. ElDora’s father, George Bloomingdale, was the State of Texas Overseer of the Church of God. She enjoyed reading and also exercising at the Pampa Youth and Community Center. She was always seen around town with her grandson Justin. She loved going to the Pampa Senior Citizens Center for their Music Monday. Survivors include two daughters, Cela Sanders and husband Joel of Arlington, and Sharon Strickland and husband Ken of Pampa; a son, Joe Don Willis and wife Dana of Irving; six granddaughters, Misty Bell and husband Brandon of Austin, Angela Atkins and husband Jason, Jacy Sanders and Hannah Sanders, all of Keller, Kendra Taylor and husband Beau of Corinth, and Jessica Willis of Irving; two grandsons, Justin Strickland of Pampa and Corey Willis and wife Holly of Iwakuni, Japan; five great-grandchildren, and one on the way; her brother, George M. Bloomingdale, Jr.; and two sisters, Inez Bloomingdale and Mary Magdalene Charlewood. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
