Craig Allen Guyer, 52, of Pampa, passed away Wednesday Nov. 26, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday Dec. 13, 2014, at the Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ with Keith Feerer, minister, officiating. At Craig's request, his body was placed in the Willed Body Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School for medical research. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Craig was born on March 15, 1962 in Waynoka, Oklahoma to Charles and Coleen Guyer. As a child he lived in Masterson, Childress and Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1980 and married his high school sweetheart, Lori Smith, on April 10, 1982 in Amarillo. In May of 1989, he graduated with a BBA from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, majoring in accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant. He began his accounting career in healthcare and after many years as CFO for Pampa Regional Medical Center, he went to work for Pantex. He loved his job as an internal auditor, and was employed at Pantex for the last 14 years. Craig served as an Elder at Central Church of Christ and was serving as an Elder at the Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ at the time of his death. He loved being involved with the Lord’s work. Craig loved spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hiking, photography and spending time in the mountains. He was an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America for 10 years. Craig loved spending time with his family. He was always happy and had a contagious attitude. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Craig is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lori of the home; a daughter, Lynsie Green and husband, Zac, of Pampa; three sons, Chase Guyer and wife, Isabella, of Amarillo; Cole Guyer and Colby Dennis, both of Pampa; two grandchildren, Hunter and Brayden Guyer, of Amarillo; his parents, Charles and Coleen Guyer, of Amarillo; a sister, Marsha Thomas and husband Gale, of Amarillo; mother and father-in-law, Helen and Clyde Nunn, of Amarillo; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Christi Smith, of Wylie and a host of nieces, nephews, other in-laws and close friends. Craig is also survived by a very special cousin, Jo Brown. Jo donated one of her kidneys to Craig on Nov. 11, 1998. He and his family were always very grateful for her gift and how it changed their lives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Charla Gayle, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
