Hildred Christine Stafford

Hildred Christine Stafford, 89, of San Angelo, died December 3, 2014 in San Angelo. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor of First Baptist Church of White Deer, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Stafford was born December 15, 1924 in Wellington. She was a former longtime resident of Pampa and White Deer before moving to San Angelo in 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of White Deer. Hildred was preceded in death by three husbands, Clyde Newman, Jess Edwards and Elgin Stafford; by three sons, Jerry Newman, Dearil Newman and Larry Edwards; by two daughters, Stella Spalding and Judy Newman; by two brothers, Dick Sturgill and George Sturgill; and by a sister, Elwanda Honeycutt. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Newman and Sharon Ramirez and husband Mario, all of San Angelo; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
