Wendell C. Wardlow, 88, died December 4, 2014 in Granbury. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in Carmichael-Whatley colonial Chapel with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa. Mr. Wardlow was born October 27, 1026 in Plainview to Carol and Matty Ruth Wardlow. Wendell served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Wilma Ann Dooley on November 13, 1944 in Plainview. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2014. Wendell work for Ingersoll-Rand Corporation and retired after 32 years of service. He had been a resident of Granbury for the past 7 years moving from Pampa. He enjoyed whistling, playing harmonica and singing. Wendell loved the outdoors, skiing and could fix most anything. Wendell was a member of the Stonewater Church in Granbury and he served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. Survivors include two sons, Stanley Wardlow and Rick Wardlow and wife Teresa; a daughter, Michelle Wardlow-Rivera and husband Steve; grandchildren, Tavela Norris, Amy Morton and husband Luke, Amanda Wilson and husband Chris, Payton Ramirez and wife Raychel and Falon Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Koby, Brenna, Tia, Mia, Haven, Ella, Ethan, Xaylei, Paydon, Jr., Brinley, Isaiah and Aiden, great-great-grandchildren, Jade, Lane and Robert; and a brother, Jimmy Wardlow and wife Ruby.
