Franklin V. "Frank" Wall

Franklin V. “Frank” Wall, 87 of Pampa, died December 16, 2014 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2014, at Fairview Cemetery, with Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor of First Christian Church, and Dr. Wyatt Fenno, pastor of Westmont Christian Church of Lubbock, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Wall was born December 18, 1926 in Monroe, Louisiana. He moved to Lefors as a small child and graduated as valedictorian of Lefors High School Class of 1944. Frank enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theatre and Hawaii. He was honorably discharged in 1946 as a first sergeant, and served in the Army Reserves and Texas National Guard. Frank married Nelda Land on March 7, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on September 16, 2011. He was a master electrician and worked for Kewanee Oil, Gulf and Chevron until his retirement in 1986. After his retirement, he owned and operated Frank Wall Electric. He was a member of First Christian Church and a former member of Pampa Evening Lions Club. Frank was also preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Fenno and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Survivors include his son, Barry Wall of Amarillo; his daughter, Troyce Wall of Wimberley; his sister, Paula Lowrie of Clarendon; his sister-in-law, Lynda Boardman and husband James of Avon Park, Florida; his brother-in-law, Kenneth Land of Chula Vista, California; his granddaughter, Danielle Wall of San Marcos; his favorite pet dog “Punkin”; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 1633 N. Nelson, Pampa, Texas 79065, the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Suite 12A, Lubbock, Texas 79424, or a charity of choice.
