Bob Sanders, 61, of White Deer, died December 17, 2014 in White Deer. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Central Baptist Church in Pampa, with Pastor Andy Dietz of First Baptist Church of Groom, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Sanders was born May 26, 1953 in Dumas. As an infant, his family moved to Pampa where he attended Pampa schools, graduating from Pampa High School in 1971. He attended West Texas State University, graduating in 1975 with a B.S. degree in industrial technology. He married Cheryl on August 4, 1984 in Magic City. Bob worked for Tinney Lumber and Top O’ Texas Builders for several years before starting his own construction company. In 1987, he opened Sanders Construction which he owned up until the time of his death. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a lighthearted, fun loving man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lindon Sanders. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Sanders of the home; his son, Andy Starnes of White Deer; his mother, Wynola Sanders of Pampa; his brother, Gary Sanders and wife Amy of Amarillo; and two sisters, Becky Dietz and husband Andy of Groom, and Sandra Langford and husband Mark of Pampa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the High Plains Food Bank, 815 Ross, Amarillo, Texas 79102.
