Joe Smith

Joe Smith, 56, of Pampa, died December 24, 2014 in Pampa. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Highland Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Smith was born November 29, 1958 in Wichita Falls. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1976. Joe married Lorie Huddleston on May 7, 1977 in Pampa. He was a Baptist. He worked for Texas Pipe and Metal for 20 years, worked at Wal-Mart in the garden center for three years, and worked as a welder’s helper for Crall Products for three years. Joe was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Smith in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Lorie Smith of the home; two daughters, Crystal Smith and Donna Hook, both of Pampa; a son, Christopher Smith and wife Jessica of Pampa; his mother, Martha Ellis of Pampa; four brothers, Jimmy Smith of Amarillo, Jackie Smith, John Paul Smith and David Dykes, all of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Alma Lewis of Pampa, Gloria Green of Garland and Mary Rider of Sandia; six grandchildren, Hayden Morgan, Chloe Smith, Madison Smith, Jesse Smith, Joey Valdez and Victoria Valdez, all of Pampa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
