Nadine Thompson, 98, of Amarillo died, Sunday January 4, 2015, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM MST Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Tucumcari Memorial Park with Rusty Tapp, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa. Mrs. Thompson was born April 28, 1916 in Vinson, Oklahoma. She married Lloyd Thompson in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1959. Nadine had been an Amarillo resident since 1962. She was a seamstress and she worked at Furr’s Cafeteria. Nadine was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Amarillo. Nadine was preceded in death by two sisters, Gracie Chambers and Clara Odom; four brothers, Jack Brown, Travis Brown, Coy Brown and Rex Brown. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Young of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Michelle Tapp and husband Rusty of Pampa; two great-granddaughters, Cayley Tapp and Camryn Tapp both of Pampa.
