Margery Dixon Salmon

Margery Dixon Salmon, 85, of Pampa, died January 1, 2015 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Jim Friedewald, pastor, and Nancy Ruff, commissioned ruling elder, officiating. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Salmon was born November 23, 1929 in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was a 1948 graduate of Pampa High School and later graduated from Oklahoma State University. She married L. Harrold Salmon on March 31, 1956 at First Presbyterian Church in Pampa. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2012. Margery had been a resident of Pampa since 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She dedicated her life to her family. Margery was also preceded in death by a brother, William S. “Bill” Dixon. Survivors include two daughters, Laurie Daugherty and husband Marvin, and Linda Salmon, all of Pampa; a sister: Dorothy Barrett and husband Raymond of Pampa; and two grandchildren, Amanda Daugherty of Pampa, and Matthew Daugherty of College Station. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 525 N. Gray, Pampa, Texas 79065, or BSA Hospice, through Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
